Mangala responds to Mahinda’s letter to President

In response to the Letter of Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa to the President on the resolution set to be passed at the international organization Human Rights Council (UNHRC) session, Minister Mangala Samaraweera issued a release stating that his letter is jam-choked with info.

The Minister says that Rajapaksa has forgotten that he's now not the President or the Prime Minister of the country.

Stating that there's no resolution ‘against’ state, Samaraweera says that the Opposition Leader, in his letter, has perennial previous false allegations and assertions regarding the workplace on Missing Persons.

In the release of the minister of finance, it assures that the govt can still defend Sri Lanka’s sovereignty by reaffirming the commitments to hunt sturdy reconciliation and promote and shield human rights.

Stating that Mahinda Rajapaksa has no authority to provide directions to a political candidate delegation representing state overseas, Samaraweera requests Rajapaksa to prevent trying to ‘deny to a de jure established government, the democratic authority it's endowed with’.
